The Maltese Cross over Saxony
On May 4th Air Malta re-established a twice weekly schedule (on Wednesdays and Sundays) to/from Leipzig after abandoning the route back in 2001. AHS, which was also offering its services to Air Malta seven years ago, is proud to welcome this trusted customer back in Saxony. Air Malta, the national airline of Malta, was established back in 1973 by a resolution of the Malta House of Representatives. It was granted the rights to operate international services from Malta from its base in Gudja. Operations actively started on April 1st 1974 serving several European cities e.g. Frankfurt and London. Today Air Malta, which started vigorously renewing its fleet with the help of modern Airbus A319/320 aircraft between 2002 and 2007, offers scheduled and charter services throughout Europe and North Africa.
